If you are in the market for a Windows laptop that is overflowing with style, then no further than the new Dell XPS 13 Plus Laptop. Seriously, just look at it. Do we really need to say more?
How can anyone resist the almost bezel-less eye-watering, 13.4-inch display and the edge-to-edge keyboard? But like any modern-day laptop, you do have to put up with the lack of ports and for this particular model, capacitive function keys and NO 3.5 mm headphone jack. Why Dell? Why???
It would have been perfect if it had regular function keys and it had an audio headphone/mic jack. While can’t say the same for the audio headphone jack, the row of capacitive touch keys is also partly responsible for the sleek look. Ugh. We just can’t have it all, can we?
The base of the Dell XPS 13 Plus Laptop is a 12th-gen Intel Core i5-1240p processor with Intel Iris Xe Graphics, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 512 GB M.2 PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD. The base display is FHD+ coming in at 1,920 x 1,200 pixels in touch or non-touch flavor.
However, if you are feeling rich, you can load up to the max with a 12th-gen Intel Core i7-1280P processor that boasts 14 cores, up to 4.8 GHz clock speed, 24 MB cache, up to 32 GB LPDDR 5 RAM, and up to 2 TB M.2 PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD.
You can also opt for a higher resolution display too which would be a 13.4-inch UHD+ 60 Hz touch display with 3,840 by 2,400 resolution.
In its base configuration, the Dell XPS 13 Plus Laptop costs US$1,299 but you are looking at US$2,399 or more if you max out the specs.
Other notables include a choice of platinum or graphite finish, an option for Windows 11 Pro, a backlit keyboard with fingerprint reader, a 720p/30 HD RGB camera, a 400p/30 IR camera, dual-array microphones, dual stereo speakers (tweeter + woofer), Realtek ALC1319D amplifier, Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6 1675 (AX211) 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.2 wireless card, a 55 Wh battery, 60W AC adapter Type-C, and a low carbon aluminum chassis.
The device measures 11.63 inches wide, 7.84 inches deep, and 0.60-inch thin (295.30 x 199.04 x 15.28 mm) and weighs as little as 2.71 lbs (1.23 kg).
Finally, the new XPS 13 Plus will also ship in all-new packaging made from 100% recycled or renewed content.
