When DJI isn’t busy turning the skies into drone highways, it is dabbling in your audio setup. And this time, it’s with the DJI Mic 3, a wireless microphone so tiny you could mistake it for a lapel pin with ambition.

Actually, it kinda wants to be seen—that’s if you want it to, and it can be done so with some personality. With a variety of ‘dead cat’ colors, tell me this little “lapel pin with ambition” doesn’t scream “look at me.”
Weighing just 16g (0.564 oz.—also the reason why we should go metric), this little bugger hides in plain sight on your shirt, hat, or even clipped on with magnets. DJI calls it part of its OsmoAudio ecosystem, but you can just call it your new “don’t-sound-like-a-potato-on-Zoom” device.
Mic 3 packs more tricks than your average sound guy. It supports up to four transmitters and eight receivers, has adaptive gain control to keep shouting friends from clipping, and offers three tone presets (Regular, Rich, Bright) so your voice can finally sound like the golden podcast host you always believed you were. Noise cancelling comes in two levels, plus a windscreen in five colors, so you can coordinate your look while cancelling Mother Nature.
Specs include dual-file 32-bit float internal recording with 32 GB storage, timecode support, a range of 400 m, 4K-ready lossless 48 kHz/24-bit audio, and a battery life of up to 8 hours per transmitter (28 with the charging case).
The DJI Mic 3 is available in two kits: 2 TX + 1 RX + case for US$329, or 1 TX + 1 RX for US$219. Last checked, both were sold out—so hit that notify-me button if you actually want one.
