Meet the DJI Osmo Action 6, the latest action camera that delivers hardware upgrades that push the compact shooter into more serious creative territory. The key headline here is twofold: a larger 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensor and the action camera market’s first variable aperture lens—a combination that expands flexibility for both low-light shooting and bright-sun conditions.
The new square sensor not only captures cleaner, more detailed footage with up to 38 MP stills and UHD 4K video, it also unlocks creative framing options for social content without loss of image quality. With a variable aperture range of f/2.0–f/4.0, the Action 6 can let in extra light in dim environments or dial down exposure on sun-splashed landscapes.
Beyond imaging, DJI has kept the features creators care about: dual OLED touchscreen displays, up to 4K/120 fps video, 50 GB of built-in storage, and IP68 waterproofing up to 20 m. The camera also supports direct microphone connections via OsmoAudio and gesture control for hands-free operation.
The DJI Osmo Action 6 represents DJI’s most ambitious action camera yet — bridging the gap between compact shooters and professional-grade gear that adapts on the fly.
The DJI Osmo Action 6 was officially launched on November 18, 2025, but interestingly, it is not listed on DJI’s US online store. However, you may buy it from B&H for US$379 for the standard combo.
