we expect a flood in the coming weeks. not the real flood but a flood of iPad 2 cases to come onto the market. my bet is, many would be ‘researching’ for iPad 2 cases since last week iPad 2 announcement, even though iPad will only be available tomorrow. DODOcase, the maker of the original handcrafted iPad case, is quick to introduce DODOcase for iPad 2.

styling and materials used are still the same as before, but the bamboo frame now caters to iPad 2 size. however, i think DODOcase might have miss something here – the rear facing camera. from the images on its website, i can’t see any provision for the rear facing camera, which means that you will have to remove the iPad 2 from the case in order to utilize the rear facing camera. then again, i didn’t expect DODOcase to provide an opening for the rear facing camera as the depth of the cover would have impeded on the camera performance.
for those folks who didn’t want their iPad 2 DODOcase to look like the original DODOcase for iPad, there’s also a Special Edition DODOcase for iPad 2. this premium case sports a cover wrapped in black and white Moroccan cloth, instead of the usual single color Moroccan cloth. well, that’s about the only difference between the classic and the special edition case. prices for the DODOcase for iPad 2 starts from $59.95 and the Special Edition will set you back at $89.95.
