New Dyson HushJet Air Purifier Range
Dyson has scaled up its aviation-inspired HushJet technology for a new family of powerful, forward-facing air purifiers. The three-model range covers large-room purification, multi-room airflow, personal cooling and heating while keeping operating noise down.

Remember the Dyson HushJet Mini Cool Fan? Aesthetically, it is rather unusual, but it does not look like anything in particular. Blow it up several times, however, and suddenly it resembles the sandworm from Dune busting vertically out of the ground. Well, that, my friends, was exactly my first impression when I first laid eyes on the new Dyson HushJet Air Purifier Range.

Thankfully, these giant household sandworms purify the air instead of swallowing spice harvesters.

The range takes the aviation-inspired HushJet nozzle introduced with the compact purifier in 2025 and applies it to larger air purifiers, fans, and heaters. Its internal geometry controls turbulence at the source, allowing the machines to project air farther while keeping the racket down. Dyson has also ditched its familiar bladeless loop for a forward-facing design, which is partly why the machines look ready to consume a small desert settlement.

There are three models. The HushJet Pure Cool+ Formaldehyde is the medium-sized option, promising up to three times the purification performance of its predecessors while circulating clean air around large rooms. It also provides personal cooling, which means it blows air at you. It is not an air conditioner, no matter how eagerly “Cool” appears in the name.

At the top sits the HushJet Big+Quiet Cool Pure+ Formaldehyde. Dyson says this is its most powerful air purifier yet, capable of cleaning up to 334 litres of air per second and projecting it as far as 20 metres (65.6 feet). That should be enough to purify adjoining rooms or gently inform someone at the other end of the house that you bought another Dyson.

Its three-stage filtration system captures particles and gases, destroys formaldehyde, and reportedly traps 99.999% of pollutants as small as 0.01 microns. Night mode produces just 14.5 dB at minimum airflow, rising to 48.5 dB at full blast. So it can whisper beside your bed or breathe heavily across several rooms.

Completing the family is the HushJet Hot Cool Pure+, Dyson’s most powerful 3-in-1 purifier. It purifies, heats, and provides personal cooling, making it useful year-round and harder to banish to storage when the season changes.

In Japan, the comparable Cool models carry the extra Ioniser+UV designation. The HushJet Cool Pure+ Ioniser+UV [JP] is expected in October 2026, while the Big+Quiet and Hot Cool versions are due from winter onward. Dyson has not revealed pricing yet.

Perhaps they are waiting until we become emotionally attached to the sandworms, which can be hard to do because they can look rather intimidating:
