This is the new Ecotrek Overalls by LIVSN Designs developed in collaboration with Gnara Apparel. It is a pair of sleek, all-weather all-activity technical overalls that is water-, stain-, abrasion-resistant, quick-dry, and sustainable—thanks to it being made from 70% recycled ocean buoys.
Ecotrek Overalls, which is available for men and women, stood out as a pair of overalls that are actually designed with ladies in mind. The ladies’ model features Gnara’s GoFly Zipper Technology, a secret second zipper that extends from beneath, where you’d expect to find a traditional fly to the back of the waistband.
This allows ladies to answer the call of nature without having to, you know, undo the top (and risking dragging it all over the porta-potty floor!), drop the pants, and take off the climbing harnesses, tool belts, or backpacks. The patented design lets you unzip only as far as you need.
Other notables include stretch webbing shoulder straps with embossed print, low profile strap buckles, reinforced stitching, sweat-wicking properties, a gusseted crotch for men’s version, accessible yet secure pockets (11 of them!), adjustable shoulder straps, and LIVSN’s proprietary Blue Ocean fabric for comfort wear in any conditions.
The new Ecotrek Overalls by LIVSN Designs is now being crowdfunded on Kickstarter (it is the brand’s 5th Kickstarter campaign, btw) where you can secure a pair for a special early bird price of US$179 and up. Go check it out. I rarely get excited over overalls but this made me—even though I have no business with the GoFly Tech. But hey, if it’s a cool development, it should be celebrated whether or not is it for me to use.
