Not content with offering a wind tunnel for your die-cast model cars, Funtech Lab is now adding a gas station into the mix. But this isn’t just for looks—it’s functional, though maybe not in the way you’re imagining. The HellDog-Charger, as it’s called, claims to “reach up to 200 W.” So, is it an electric car charger? Nope! It’s a charging station for your electronic devices. Now, I am intrigued.
While it doesn’t pump gas (obviously), we love the vibe of a charging station masquerading as an old-school gas pump. It brings to mind the Tesla Desktop Supercharger. Dubbed the “new era of desktop charging,” this quirky charger features two retractable 100 W Type-C cables that stretch up to a meter (3.3 feet). The best part? These cables are styled like gas pump nozzles—each Type-C plug’s strain relief is molded to look like a classic gas pump handle.
When not in use, these “nozzles” plug into the front, just like an actual gas station setup. Plus, it even has a screen to display real-time charging stats like voltage, amperage, and joules. That’s seriously cool. The features don’t stop there. Around the back, there’s a 45 W Type-C port and two USB-A ports that offer up to 18 W total output. But I do note there is a bit of inconsistency on the specs presented on the product page. The Type-A ports are listed with 15 W in a graphic while they are noted as 18 W in the description. Not sure what gives here.
Anyhoo… those are not it. There’s a 15 W wireless charging pad on top, which makes this a potential six-device charging station. But you will not be getting a max charge out of each port/cable if multiple devices are charging at the same time. The HellDog-Charger also promises quality battery cells, intelligent temperature control, and enough certifications to assure you it won’t turn your desk into a fire hazard.
Finally, it even has a replaceable advertising panel, so you can customize it like a real gas pump. So, time to start looking for potential advertisers?
