Hypershell GoX and ProX Exoskeleton

There are many companies developing exoskeleton suits for industrial use but do you know there is a company that makes exoskeletons for everyday use? Well, if you don’t know, now you know. Folks, meet Hypershell, a robotic startup fostered by Y-Combinator China.

Hypershell is already taking pre-orders for a consumer exoskeleton called 1 Horsepower Everyday Adventure Exoskeleton (US$599-1,299) but that’s not what we are here for. We are here for Hypershell’s latest exoskeletons, the GoX and ProX which will debut at CES 2024.

The ProX, a highlight, is an all-terrain exoskeleton designed for active outdoor activities like running, hiking, long-distance treks, and more. It features an AI motion engine, adapts to the wearer’s movements, and offers significant weight offset for easier trekking.

All told the device can transition seamlessly between 9 motion postures, providing powerful assistance at maximum 800W output which allows up to 30 kilograms (66 pounds) of weight to be offset from the user.

ProX is lightweight, weighing just 2 kilograms or 4.4 pounds, and foldable, which makes it perfect for adventurers. It is rugged too, capable of operating to -20°C (-4° Fahrenheit) and has an IP54 rating.

You can check out the Hypershell GoX and ProX Exoskeleton in person at CES 2024, at booth #55253 in the Las Vegas Venetian Expo from January 9-12, 2024.
