Forget about water/dust proof TWS earbuds. The new Jaybird Vista 2 here is “Earthproof”! Jaybird described the Vista 2 as “Earthproof Audio” and claims that it is “everything you want from your earbuds.” So, what are the everything that we want?
Well, they are Active Noise Cancellation for actually hearing the music and not the noise, SurroundSense for spatial awareness and safety (very important, IMHO), and of course, Earthproof durability.
But what exactly is “Earthproof durability”? Well, according to Jaybird, it would be IP68 rated along with “military-spec ratings” for protection against dust, water, sweat, and drops, and IP54 rated wireless charging case to boot.
If you have agree that Jaybird has taken things a little further than others by giving both the earbuds AND the charging case IP ratings.
Other tech specs and features include 6 mm drivers with 12 mW RMS, 6 hours of battery life with ANC (8 without), Bluetooth 5.0, integrated omnidirectional digital MEMS microphone, and Sport Fit with Three sizes of interchangeable eargels for custom fit.
