Remember the super cool Ultraman-themed razors? Well, here’s another. Also coming from Kai Corporation, this time the Kai Razor axia has received the Shin Ultraman color scheme.
Kai Razor axia is treated to the red and silver colorway of the new Ultraman that was designed as a homage to the original design by Tohl Narita. For the uninitiated, the original does not have the color timer and apparently, has a fin that does not extend to the back.
Pre-orders for the Kai x Shin Ultraman Razor axia (officially, Kai axia Value Pack Slim Shin Ultraman) started last Friday (May 13) with a limited quantity release on May 30 in Japan. The razor is available as a value pack which includes 11 razor cartridges and comes packed in a package decorated with Shin Ultraman.
But, if you can be honest, the real highlight of this razor isn’t the razor itself. It is the lottery event offered to buyers of the Kai x Shin Ultraman Razor axia. 400 lucky buyers will receive a Shin Ultraman razor stand and Shin Ultraman original mug.
Buyers of the limited-edition collaborative razor will have to enter the sweepstake by scanning the QR code on the package to access the special campaign website and fill out the form, including the serial code (also on the package). The result is instantaneous. So, it is kind of a lucky dip.
The sweepstake, or lucky dip if you will, will start on May 30, 2022, 0000 hours, and ends on December 31, 2022, 2359 hours). From the sweepstake, 100 lucky folks will receive a Shin Ultraman razor stand while 300 people will receive the Shin Ultraman original mug. Kai axia Value Pack Slim Shin Ultraman sells for 2,200 yen or around US$17.20.
