Good news for folks who has one too many terabytes of data to move, Kingston has just unveiled the mother of all USB flash drives (at least for now) called DataTraveler Ultimate Generation Terabyte (GT) that packs up to a whopping 2TB of storage space, thus snagging the title as the world’s highest capacity USB Flash drive! Yes. You heard that right. Two freaking terabytes! Holy smoke! That’s insane and it would be insane on your part too, cos’ if you were lose this precious one (knock on wood), you will probably go bonkers.

Just imagine up to 70 hours of 4K video, or 256,000 24MP still images, or a mind-numbing 531,344 MP3 music files – all on a single, pocketable storage unit. I mean, like, really, really pocketable – measuring 72 mm long, 26.94 mm wide and 21 mm thick (or roughly about 2.8 x 1 x 0.8 inches). Man, it sure sounds like science fiction, doesn’t it? But no, it is real. With immense storage capacity comes enormous amount of data transfer which the GT relies on USB 3.1 (Gen 1) to ensure a steady and speedy transfer, but that’s not all; it is tough too – thanks to its zinc-alloy metal housing that provides it with shock resistance quality, plus a built that will allow it to survive extreme temperatures ranging from minus 40 Celsius to 85 Celsius (-40 Fahrenheit to 185 Fahrenheit).
