KITH and Bose crossed paths again. After Ultra Open Earbuds, the two brands are celebrating the Bose 60th anniversary by bringing back the iconic 901 speakers. But this time they’re dressed to impress, courtesy of KITH’s Ronnie Fieg and master craftsman Mark Jupiter.
The original 1968 design was revolutionary—Dr. Bose wanted to recreate the feeling of a live concert in his living room. The result? A groundbreaking blend of direct and reflected sound that made you feel like Mick Jagger was about to step off your shag carpet.
Now, the speakers have been given a couture-level glow-up. Each of the 12 limited-edition sets features handcrafted finishes in white-washed ash wood or natural air-dried walnut. Mark Jupiter, known for crafting luxury furnishings, applied the same meticulous detail to these enclosures. Forget minimalist tech—these speakers are statement pieces that scream, “I take my sound and my interior design very seriously.”
Sadly, if you’re hoping to snag one, you’ll need to be either a member of Bose’s “friends and family” club or possess negotiation skills that could sell ice to penguins. These commemorative sets are not just exclusive; they’re seriously exclusive. As for the price? Well, if you have to ask, just know you’re probably not in the room where the deal happens.
