For those who can’t enough of aesthetically-pleasing portable hard drive, well, you’re are in luck. Seagate’s premium brand digital storage hardware maker LaCie has a new designer drive for you and it is called LaCie Mirror Portable Hard Drive. Designed by French designer, Pauline Deltour, this portable hard drive has a striking mirror finished and is encased in Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance (NDR) for durability. According to LaCie, “the glass is chemically strengthened and atomically configured to better survive the real-world events,” which means it won’t break easily and can even prevent deep chips and scratches that could otherwise cause the glass to fail. That’s the assurance part, but then again, a portable hard drive won’t be subjected to the same risks as smartphones. Our only concern are fingerprints.
Under the hood, it comes with a terabyte of storage and boosts USB 3.0 connectivity for speedy data transfer, and it will come bundled with LaCie Backup Assistant and password protection with AES 256-bit software encryption. And oh, did we mention that it comes with a luxurious display stand crafted from Makassar ebony wood to prop up the drive, so you can check out your reflection more easily? Well, it should have, because this piece of gadget is going to run you back at a pretty hefty $279.99. Keep going for a few more look and a promo video.
