It was unfortunate that the adorable proposed LEGO Ideas Stitch set by Legohaulic did not make it through the LEGO panel and the second chance fan vote in 2019. But fret not if you are a fan of Lilo & Stitch because the incorrigible but irresistibly adorable character has been immortalized in plastic bricks by LEGO, well, albeit almost 5 years late.
The LEGO Disney Stitch (43249), as it is simply called, uses 730 LEGO elements to let kids aged 9 and up create their own Stitch, garbed in a cool Hawaiian shirt. It is adorable – made even more so by the large custom eyepieces which are printed pieces by the way. Stitch is accompanied by a buildable flower which can be “worn” on his head, and a buildable ice-cream cone.
Thanks to the accessories, along with a moveable head and ears, LEGO Disney Stitch is as good as a display piece as it is for play. When completed, the play-and-display building set stands 20 cm (over 8 inches) tall. It will make for a perfect display piece for your Disney shrine.
The new LEGO Disney Stitch (43249) is now available on backorder on LEGO.com for US$64.99 with delivery slated to happen by March 23, 2024.
