I never thought I’d see the day when the world’s most famous British pig character and her family would receive the LEGO treatment. That’s right, my friends: Peppa Pig is coming to LEGO. However, it falls short of becoming a traditional LEGO set; instead, Peppa and her family are being immortalized as Duplo sets.
The LEGO Group, in collaboration with Hasbro, has announced new LEGO Duplo Peppa Pig sets, launching in honor of Peppa Pig’s 20th anniversary. For the uninitiated, Hasbro has owned the rights to this British cartoon family since 2019 after acquiring Entertainment One, the production company that owns the Peppa Pig franchise. Anyways, these sets aim to merge the imaginative world of Peppa Pig with the creative, developmental play of LEGO DUPLO, offering toddlers a vibrant way to enhance their fine motor skills and foster EQ and IQ through role-play and storytelling. The collection introduces four themed sets: Peppa Pig Garden and Tree House, Peppa Pig Boat Trip, Peppa Pig Supermarket, and Peppa Pig Birthday House, each designed to spark creativity, role-play, and learning.
Furthermore, the collaboration extends beyond the sets, with the introduction of LEGO Duplo Peppa Pig play areas at select Merlin Entertainments attractions and the launch of the first standalone Peppa Pig Theme Park. Additionally, a LEGO Duplo Peppa Pig app is available for pre-order, providing a digital play experience. The sets will be available starting June 1st globally and August 1st in the Americas at LEGO Stores, online, and through third-party retailers.
This partnership celebrates the core values of Peppa Pig—confidence, friendship, and individuality—while offering engaging new ways for toddlers to play and learn with their favorite characters – thankfully, the characters are not interactive and hence they do not speak, or else you’d be British-nized, if you know what I mean.
