Petrol heads with a thing for the good’ol American muscle car will be glad to know that the 69’ Camaro has joined LEGO‘s vintage car collection. Folks, this is the LEGO Icons Chevrolet Camaro Z28 (10304), and thankfully, it isn’t a LEGO Technic set (phew!).
The set is of the good’ol bricks which makes the recreation of the 1969 Camaro Z28 even more accurate, IMHO. Not only do you get to build this iconic ride from the 60s but you get to choose how you want it to look.
Much like the LEGO DeLorean Time Machine (10300) set, you get to choose from a few styles. You can choose to have red, white, or grey racing stripes and whether to go with a hard-top or a convertible and choose classic or hideaway headlights. That, according to my poor math foundation, works out to be 12 possible combinations.
Other highlights include opening doors, trunk, and hood, a detailed V8 engine block, a working steering wheel, and a detailed classic interior, complete with furry dice. Well, they are not quite furry but you get the idea… Oh, you also get a choice of 2 license plates too. Sweet.
All told, the LEGO Icons Chevrolet Camaro Z28 (10304)packs 1,458 pieces and when completed, it measures over 3.5 inches (10 cm) high, 14 inches (36 cm) long, and 5.5 inches (14 cm) wide.
