I imagined there must have been a series of debates before LEGO finally decided to let Megatron join Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in the BrickHeadz lineup. That’s right. Dear old Meg is next in line in the Transformers BrickHeadz series, and no, the alt mode in this two-pack set is not a pistol. It is a tank. A “Q” version one, that is, which is perhaps why LEGO gave it a free pass to its no machine-of-war rule.

Since the tank in the LEGO BrickHeadz Megatron Robot & Vehicle (40924) is a sci-fi/fantasy tank, we are allowed to have the Q version of Meg and his alt mode. Aimed at kids aged 10 and up (read: us), the set lets you skip the torment of deciding between alt mode or bot mode because, like the BrickHeadz Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, it gives you both the tank and robot modes.
Megatron may have been Q-sified, but he is not lacking in details that make Meg, Meg. There is the abs decoration, the authentic Decepticon logo, the arm cannon, and the flaming red—but now cute—decorated eyes, finished with thick black brows. He may not have a mouth, but I can still feel the rage in this adorable Megatron. The tank, meanwhile, has a turret which can be rotated.
The set contains 224 pieces and, when completed, the robot figure stands over 3.5 inches (8 cm) tall, while the vehicle figure stands over 2.5 inches (6 cm) tall.
LEGO BrickHeadz Megatron Robot & Vehicle (40924) is set to hit shelves on June 1, 2026, for US$24.99.
