LEGO Pokémon sets have finally arrived, and LEGO did not just stop at making brick-built Pikachu, Charizard, and friends. The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company have introduced LEGO Pokémon SMART Play, a new interactive play system that lets Pokémon react to how children play with them. In other words, your Pokémon can now do more than stand there looking adorable.
At the heart of the range is the LEGO SMART Brick, a new piece of technology packed with sensors, lights, and sound features. Feed Pikachu a sandwich, and it reacts. Tickle Charizard and it laughs. Train, nurture, and battle your Pokémon, all without a screen. It is basically Pokémon training, but in LEGO form.
The launch lineup consists of two SMART Play All-in-One sets that include SMART Bricks, chargers, and SMART Tags, plus ten SMART Play Compatible sets that expand the adventure with more Pokémon, locations, and stories.

The entire LEGO Pokémon SMART Play range is available for pre-order now and will hit store shelves on August 1, 2026. Pokémon fans have been waiting years for LEGO Pokémon. It looks like LEGO decided the best way to celebrate was to make the Pokémon play back.
