The newly unveiled 2020 Land Rover Defender is a long way to becoming the icon its forebears were, but already, Land Rover has, in partnership with Danish toy maker LEGO, unveiled a LEGO Technic version of the Land Rover Defender to mark the Defender’s unveiling.

The 2,573-piece LEGO Technic Defender model features a host of realistic elements and functions, including the authentic body panels and wheels, four-wheel drive system complete with three differentials, fully independent suspension, a functioning winch and a gearbox that is said to be LEGO Technic’s most sophisticated yet.

LEGO Technic 2020 Defender

As much as I don’t quite like the new Defender, I have to admit that this LEGO Technic Defender is actually looking pretty dope. We have seen a fair number of LEGO replica of vehicles here, but owing to its mostly straight silouette, the LEGO Technic Defender might just be the most accurate official LEGO Technic replica ever.

The new LEGO Technic Defender is set to be available online starting October 1, 2019. However, exact where online and the price is not disclosed at the time of this post.
