Well, what do you know? Nissan is joining the long list of LEGO Speed Champions come next year. Not surprisingly, it is the Nissan GT-R NISMO that was given the brick treatment (though we would much love it was the R32).
Wait. Is this the first Japanese marque in LEGO Speed Champions of late? I think it is. Anywho, whether or it is the first Japanese marque in LEGO Speed Champions does not matter.
What matters is one of the most important car in Japanese automobile history finally gets an official LEGO set, albeit not a LEGO Technic set. While it might be a LEGO Speed Champions, it will be a little different from the current lineup.
For starter, starting in 2020, LEGO Speed Champions replicas will be 25 percent bigger and more realistic to boot. We don’t have the exact size, but we do know that it will have 298 pieces.
I am not fan of Renault-era GT-R, but man, this model does look pretty dope. Despite its miniature stature, the representation appears to be pretty darn accurate. Especially the recreation of the iconic quad round taillights.
LEGO Speed Champions Nissan GT-R NISMO will be available worldwide starting in January 2020. As for pricing, it is not known at this point.
