LEGO Technic Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut Hypercar

While LEGO Speed Champion Koenigsegg Jesko looks great, it does not do justice to this celebrated and revered hypercar. I think both LEGO and Swedish high-performance automobile makers are aware of this, and that is why three years later we have a larger Technic model that has more details made possible by Technic elements.

Not only that, the LEGO Technic Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut Hypercar is available in two models. There is the Grey model (42173) and then there is the White variant (42184). And yes, they are two separate models. So if you want both, you have to pay double.

Key features include an authentic moving V8 engine and differential, a functional steering wheel with a detachable steering knob, and a pair of Dihedral synchro-helix doors that open 90 degrees—just like the real car.

Based on the product images, I am going to say this has to be one of the best-looking small-scale Technic car models yet. That said, I’d be lying if I said I am not sold. Now, I am in a fix on what color should go with.

Should I go with the super sleek, mysterious grey or risk the wrath of the UV that turns almost any plastic in white into yellow? Decision, decision.

Anyhoo, when completed, the 801-piece model measures 8 cm high, 28 cm long, and 13 cm wide (over 3 x 11 x 5 inches).

The LEGO Technic Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut Hypercar in Grey or White can be had for US$49.99 per set.
