General Grievous is one of the most underrated villains in the Star Wars universe and this is the opinion of a person who isn’t huge on the prequels. Yes. I am a fan of this 4-arm supervillain with a penchant for lightsabers and yes, I am excited over the new Star Wars General Grievous 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure from Hot Toys.
I passed on the Sideshow Collectibles’ version twice because the reviews weren’t great. I hope Hot Toys, with its wealth of experience with premium action figures, does it better, and then finally, I can finally have one large-scale Grievous in my collection that isn’t brick-built. By the way, the LEGO UCS General Grievous wasn’t the best. I sold it. So here’s to hoping.
Set to drop in a time far, far away—sometime in Q3-Q4 2025, the Hot Toys Star Wars General Grievous 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure boasts a newly developed head with separate rolling eyeballs system, a diecast metal body structure that enables over 25 points of articulations, the general’s iconic four arms, LED light-up lightsabers powered by USB (!), a finely tailored posable wired cape, interchangeable battle damaged parts, an electrostaff, a blaster, and a display base.
The Special Edition available in selected markets, comes with a General Grievous commemorative coin. In addition, this coin has a unique style that is exclusive to those who pre-order this figure at the “Ani-com & Games Hong Kong” exhibition in Hong Kong.
The 42 cm (16.5 inches) tall 1/6th premium collectible figure is supplied with a bunch of accessories, including interchangeable masks, interchangeable arm parts, interchangeable hands, and a selection of weapons.
Fans can secure a copy by pre-ordering it from major online toy retailers including Sideshow (370 USD), Big Bad Toy Store (384.99 USD), Oh My Primus (440 SGD), and more. Skip ahead for a video and more looks.
