General Grievous Cosplay

no amount of money can buy you this villain from the galaxy far, far away. so, yes. this is a General Grievous cosplay which reportedly appeared at the MCM London Comic Con, or is it? this almost movie-accurate depiction of the galactic bad guy features the signature cape which was conveniently used to conceal the cosplayer’s legs and body, thus leaving a surrealistically authentic, metallic skeleton and to be honest, kind of gives us the cringe. creepy. is it us who finds the General is staring at us the whole time? as mentioned, the skinny exoskeleton legs are obviously not the cosplayer’s, but the arms and hands are his (or was it her?). clever use of black on the arms and hands help to create the illusion of the skeletal limbs, while the cape’s red inner (is that diamond-quilted stuff?) also did help to draw our attention away.

there is a video of this villain that walks our Earth which you can witness the eery clacking sound as he moves around. top that up with the dude’s acting, this ought to be the best General Grievous cosplay, ever. someone on reddit pointed out to an old YouTube video dating back to 2009 that also shows a similar setup, though not as sophisticated as this piece. we wonder if that was the same dude who had refined the Grievous costume? man, eating and drinking while wearing must be a chore, not to mention hitting the restroom. scroll down for the original image and keep going to see the General in action while visiting planet Earth.
