Leica is 100. That’s right—your favorite German camera maker has officially hit the centennial mark, and to celebrate, it’s gone full retro with a lineup of exclusive, head-turning special editions. Not content with just throwing a party in Wetzlar, Leica dropped a quartet of nostalgia-laced gear and a commemorative book that would make any camera nerd weep into their lens cloth. Oh, and did we mention they just rolled out the millionth Leica M-camera ever made? No big deal.
The Big Daddy: Leica M11-D 100 YEARS OF LEICA

Let’s start with the crown jewel: the M11-D 100 YEARS OF LEICA. This one’s not just a loving nod to the original Leica I—it’s also serial number 6000000. Yep, the millionth M-camera ever made. Decked out in a glossy black finish with solid brass plates and zero flashy branding (no red dot here, folks), it’s all about old-school class. The limited-edition set comes with two lenses: a modern Summilux-M 50 f/1.4 ASPH. and the Leitz Anastigmat-M 50 f/3.5, a revival of the original lens from 1925. Everything from the cross knurling to the leather wrap screams vintage, and it’s all housed in a glossy black wooden box lined with rich cognac leather accessories. Only 100 sets exist. Leica purists, this is your golden goose.
Retro Charm: Leica D-Lux 8 100 YEARS OF LEICA

Next up, the D-Lux 8 gets a stylish throwback treatment. With nickel accents, leatherette wrap, and that signature Leica restraint (bye-bye red logo), this compact shooter dials up the elegance. It’s a modern point-and-shoot that channels its great-grandparent without being obnoxious about it.
Instant Icon: SOFORT 2 100 YEARS OF LEICA

Leica’s hybrid instant camera also gets the centennial makeover. It’s all black everything—complete with a nickel-toned lens cap, sleek photo output frame, and a top plate stamped with a clean “100.” Even if you never print your pics, you’ll want one just for the shelf presence.
Binoculars Get The Leica Treatment: Trinovid 10×40

The Trinovid 10×40 anniversary edition proves Leica didn’t forget the birdwatchers and spy-movie fans. Featuring hand-polished black anodized housing and matching leatherette, these classic peepers look straight out of a Bond film. Limited to—you guessed it—100 units.
The Book: 100 Leica Stories

For those who prefer their Leica history in print, 100 Leica Stories is the ultimate coffee table flex. It’s packed with personal anecdotes, historic photos, and behind-the-scenes tales from a century of Leica being witness to, well, basically everything.
Availability & Pricing
The M11-D set lands in Leica Stores in spring 2026. Meanwhile, the rest of the collection is already up for grabs at Leica Stores, online, and select dealers. Expect to shell out €1,850 for the D-Lux 8, €495 for the SOFORT 2, and €2,750 for those luxe Trinovid binos. As for the book, it is a modest €70—and probably the cheapest way to own a piece of Leica history.
