Lomography has launched a new Automat Glass instant camera that should appeal to both analog camera collectors and art enthusiasts alike. For this latest iteration, Lomography teamed up with UK artist Laura Slater to bring the artist’s textured, graphic artworks to the camera.
For the Lomo’Instant Automat Glass Assemble Configure Edition, Slater crafted an exclusive design inspired by her Assemble/Configure collection that features bold pattern and striking blue-on-white design. Absolutely lovely. I may be biased here cos’ I am kind of a sucker for art on anything.
Beyond the cosmetic touches by the artist, it is the Lomo’Instant Automat Glass you may have already know. This means features like multi-coated glass lens with 38 mm focal length, large f4.5 aperture for excellent low-light performance even without flash, 0.3 meter close up shots, and automatic settings for perfectly exposed shots.
Each unit comes with a lens cap that doubles as a Remote Controller Shutter Release, allowing you take shake-free long exposures, or going a group shot from up to 5 meters away.
Lomo’Instant Automat Glass Assemble Configure Edition is available now, priced at US$189 a pop. In case you are not aware, the Lomo’Instant Automat Glass Assemble Configure Edition uses Fujifilm Instax Mini film (not included) which is easy to buy and relatively affordable.
