for those who can’t enough of big, bold and pricey wrist watches, Louis Vuitton Tambour Evolution might just be right up your opulent alley. available as a GMT model with a 43mm case diameter and a Chronograph & GMT (we’d go for the chrono if we have the means, just saying…) version sporting a tad larger case diameter of 45mm, the Louis Vuitton Tambour Evolution timepieces feature a stainless steel case construction with stunning black metal matrix composite (or MMC, a high-performance material used in aerospace and Formula 1) bezel, matching black dial, contrasting red GMT markings, transparent caseback, and stainless steel link strap. the Chronograph & GMT model is powered by LV92 caliber automatic chronograph with full chrono functions, including minutes and seconds and has a date function which can be found at the 4.30 mark.
the GMT, on the other hand, is driven by LV71 caliber automatic movement with the date function located at the 3 o’clock mark. additionally, both models boast a second time zone with day and night indicator, a sapphire glass with reflection-proof coating (presumably, single side coating) and are water resistance up to 100 meters (328 feet). the duo may not appeared to be as fancy as the Diving counterpart, but it is still stunning nonetheless. we can almost imagine them going well with tuxe and suits. speaking of design, don’t you think the duo has a hint of TAG Heuer Carrera to them? anyways, maybe that’s just me. the Louis Vuitton Tambour Evolution watches are available now with the GMT model going for $8,000 and the Chronograph & GMT commands a cool $10,200 price tag.
