Mattel Brick Shop is charging into the plastic brick-building business in a very determined manner. It is not limiting itself to cars. It has also ventured into the Masters of the Universe franchise, and now, seemingly unwilling to let LEGO have all the fun with its bust series, it has, well… a buildable bust, too.
The subject of this evil experiment is none other than Skeletor, the self-proclaimed Overlord of Evil and arguably Eternia’s biggest loser. Seriously. Imagine spending decades trying to conquer a kingdom and still getting foiled by a guy wearing furry underwear.
Anyhoo, the Mattel Brick Shop Masters of the Universe Buildable Skeletor Bust lets fans literally get inside Skeletor’s head—figuratively, of course. The 503-piece set recreates the iconic villain as a display bust complete with a stand and metal foil nameplate, making it look suitably important despite the owner’s less-than-stellar track record.
The fun part is that Skeletor comes with three interchangeable faceplates, allowing you to switch between his classic Filmation cartoon appearance, the Origins look, and the Legends version. As if one smug skull wasn’t enough.
Mattel even threw in a light brick that illuminates Skeletor’s eyes with an appropriately sinister red glow. Press it, and his evil glare comes to life. Whether it also improves his odds against He-Man remains, sadly, unconfirmed.
The bust itself is poseable, allowing you to adjust his expression depending on how badly his latest plan to rule Eternia has backfired.
So, if you’ve ever wanted to combine your childhood nostalgia for He-Man with the adult urge to spend three hours squinting at instruction manuals, Lord Skeletor is ready to reign supreme over your bookshelf. NYAH-HAHAHA!
That said, the Mattel Brick Shop Masters of the Universe Buildable Skeletor Bust is available for preorder now for US$44 and is expected to ship on or before September 11, 2026.
