The Meizu 21 family of smartphones has grown to include a quasi-flagship device known as the Meizu 21 Note. Billed as the “elite force of mobile phones”, the Meizu 21 Note proudly claims as the AI benchmark and performance beast. It shares the same design language as the 21 Pro and standard 21.
The Meizu 21 Note [CH] has 2.5D glass front and back, an aluminum frame, a so-called “unbounded antenna system 2.0”, and a super narrow 1.75 mm bezel all-around. It is fairly thin too, measuring just 8.2 mm.
The device is powered by the last-gen flagship chip from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform, and runs on the smartphone’s pride and joy the Flyme AIOS, the Android-based OS with AI baked in. The chip is born from the TSMC 4 nm process and boasts 335% AI performance. It is backed by a One Mind AI neural engine.
The Meizu 21 Note is by no means a mid-ranger. It may be more affordable but the specs are no slouch. It features a variable refresh rate 144 Hz 1.5K 8T LTPO flagship esport flat display, and it is rocking a 360° 3D heat dissipation system with no less than 5,000 mm2 of VC cooling surfaces. The cooling is bolstered by an AI-managed overall temperature control algorithm and a high-thermal conductivity aerospace-grade aluminum frame.
It is outfitted with a 5.500 mAh light and thin, AI-optimized battery that promises ultra-long runtime. The battery features 66 W Super mCharge wired ultra-fast charging and supports 65 W PD.
The Meizu 21 Note is an AI device, offering many AI capabilities, including AI content analysis, AI meeting minutes, AI creative copyrighting, AI circle to search, and more.
In the imaging department, it has a dual camera setup comprising a 50 MP 1/1.56” flagship sensor with OIS main camera and a 13 MP 122° super wide-angle 5-element camera capable of 2.5 cm macro shooting. It is capable of 8K video recording.
Other notables include multi-function NFC, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, IR blaster, X linear haptic motor, under-display optical fingerprint sensor, IP65 rated, and Aicy assistant (its Siri-equivalent).
The Meizu 21 Note is available for pre-order in China with a starting price of 2,599 yuan [CH] (around US$360). It is offered in a choice of borderless black and Meizu white.
