New Pioneer DJ DM Series Desktop Monitor Systems

If you are serious about DJ-ing (or house parties where you are the DJ), then you may want to check out the new Pioneer DJ DM Series Desktop Monitor Systems. Joining the DM series of desktop monitor systems are three new models: DM-40D, DM-40D-BT, and DM-50D-BT.

New Pioneer DJ DM Series Desktop Monitor Systems

As denoted by the model number, the DM-40D is the 4-inch model and available with or without Bluetooth functionality while the DM-50 is the 5-inch now with Bluetooth feature. Color-wise, they are available in a choice of very DJ hue: black or white.

Whichever model you choose, expect to find a Class D amplifier and woofer that delivers “a balanced, punchy bass sound” and is “ready to pump out extra pumper when you need it.” Meanwhile, the advanced design of the DECO convex diffusers ensures high frequencies are crystal clear.

This being a DJ-focused speaker system allows you to switch between DJ mode and Production mode at a flick of a switch. When the switch is flicked, the DSP settings will automatically adjust to create the best sound for each application. So, yeah, the DM series is good for music production too.

Each speaker boasts both RCS and mini-jack input terminals with the DM-50D-BT (and the DM-50D) further touts a TRS input. The volume knob and headphones socket are located at the front for quick connection and level control.

The new Pioneer DJ DM Series Desktop Monitor Systems are available as we speak. And did we mention that it is actually pretty affordable? The DM-40D and the DM-40D-BT sell for US$149 a pair and US$199 a pair, respectively. The DM-50D-BT, meanwhile, is going for US$229 per pair.
