we are not sure the significant of the Year of the Snake outside of the Chinese community but in case this Chinese zodiac means something to you and you happen to be a huge basketball fan (or should we say, Jordan in particular), then we are certain the newly announced Nike Jordan Year of the Snake Collection will tickle your fancy. the collection comes in a pack that includes the Jordan MELO M9 and the Air Jordan 1 High, and is slated to hit the stores on February 9, 2013. instead of going the way out to make a faux snake skin basketball sneaker, the YOTS collection takes on the snake’s ability of detecting body temperature and environmental changes in its prey and the result is a loud and vibrant colorways that we have yet to see in a pair of sneakers for a long time (you know, it is a very 80s kind of thing). well, may be not that long but anyway, expect both models to sport yummy color palettes that include Blacken Blue, Bright Citrus, Hyper Red, Raspberry Red, Deep Royal Blue and Volt. the Nike Jordan Year of the Snake Collection comes pack in a unique packaging that makes it feel more comfy as a collector item (or items) than something you will kick the court with. expect to shell out $280 for the pack when it becomes available. some colorful images are available after the break for your viewing pleasure.
