If you did not managed to get the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0, the self-lacing shoes, back in 2017, well, count yourself lucky because, the sport shoes maker has just unveiled a new iteration that is not only more advanced but also a lot more affordable. Called Nike Adapt BB, this latest self-lacing shoes could be one of the most technologically advanced footwear to date. Self-lacing is just part of story, really. As it turns out, Paul George considered himself as quite a big of a fan of video gaming and so, for this second collaboration with Nike, he and designer Tom Hardy has infused video gaming theme into the kicks by the way of Playstation them – with the blessing from Sony, of course. Now, being a “Playstation” shoes does not immediately made it a pair of high-tech sneakers. On the contrary, they are not. Paul George’s First Nike Signature Shoe Has His Portrait On The Insoles

Designed by Nike Basketball designer Tony Hardman (who is the same man responsible for Run The One and Hyperchase), Nike PG1 is the very first signature shoe of NBA star, Indiana Pacer’s Paul George who is also Nike’s 21st signature athlete in 44 years and boy, does this pair of kicks look awesome. Sporting a low-cut design, the light grey PG1 features a couple of design touches that points to the man’s passions, including a 2K-rendered portrait on the insoles connect to George’s love of gaming and also, his status as cover athlete of the video game NBA 2K17, while a bobber-inspired lace lock and fish scale detailed upper points to his other interest: fishing.
