during the recent Los Angeles Auto Show, there was another car that had us all excited and it was the Nissan Sentra NISMO Concept. yes. it is a small sedan and yes, it is one that tricked out by the revered NISMO. we haven’t been so excited about Nissan sedan since Primera and the SSS models, but our excitement proved to be short-lived when we found out that this fine example is strictly a design study. nevertheless, for the moment it tickles our fantasy. the NISMO-touched Sentra grunts comes from a 240 hp 1.8-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged unit with a good 240 lb-ft of torque and features NISMO-tuned suspension and steering, six-speed manual transmission, limited-slip differential, custom driver-focused, race-inspired interior, along with enhanced aerodynamics and massive 19-inch RAYS wheels shod in 225/35R19 Michelin Super Sport performance tires.
exterior details include a deep front fascia with lower LED lights, wide lower grille, a wide lower front spoiler, oversized fender flares and integrated side sills, a custom rear spoiler, a center rear fog lamp, smoked-look lights, red-lacquer brake calipers, and a set of very pronounced dual exhaust tips. on the inside, you will find a pair of Recaro “Sportster” front seats with custom black leather and Alcantara appointments, Alcantara rear seats, pillars and headliner, a NISMO-style leather/Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, matching shift knob and shifter lever boot surround, NISMO anodized red start button, and an instrument cluster in satin carbon finish and dark chrome accents.
