Almost exactly a year after the Nothing Phone (2a), we now have its successor, the Nothing Phone (3a) Series. And this time, Nothing decided that one model wasn’t enough. Say hello to both the Nothing Phone (3a) and the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. Hmmm. I don’t remember the Phone (2a) having a Pro model. It had a Plus, a Special Edition, and even a Plus Community Edition. But a Pro? That’s new. Let’s see what Nothing is up to this time.
Nothing Phone (3a): The Familiar Yet Fresh
The Nothing Phone (3a) keeps the brand’s signature transparent back but adds a pill-shaped camera module with a red-accented square—because why not? The phone rocks a 6.77-inch LTPS AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Protecting that screen is Panda Glass, which sounds cute but is actually tough.
Powering the device is a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 with 8GB of RAM and either 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 32MP front camera for all your selfies and video calls. Other highlights include a 5,000mAh battery with 50W fast charging, an IP64 rating, and Nothing OS 3.1 based on Android 15.
Nothing Phone (3a) Pro: More Pro, More Periscope
The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro takes things up a notch—literally—with an L-shaped camera layout that looks… unconventional. But hey, it’s Pro. It also gets a higher IP68 rating, making it better at surviving unexpected water encounters.
Inside, it runs on the same Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, but you get more memory options: 8GB or 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The camera system gets an upgrade too, featuring a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS, alongside the 50MP main sensor and 8MP ultra-wide. And for those who love symmetry, the 50MP front camera keeps things consistent.
Other spec-sheet details include eSIM support, Bluetooth 5.3, and the Essential Space app for keeping your notes and recordings in one place.
Release & Pricing
The Nothing Phone (3a) Series has been launched today, March 4, 2025, with the Nothing Phone (3a) available to order today and shipping starting on March 11, 2025. The Nothing Phone (3a) sells for US$379, while the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is a tad pricer at US$459 when it becomes available later this month. The RAM and storage depend on the region.
