Nothing Phone (4b) Smartphone
Nothing's first-ever Phone (4b) takes the best bits from the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro, then adds a bigger 6,000 mAh battery and Snapdragon 6 Gen 4—all while keeping the price surprisingly low.

If you thought the Nothing Phone (4a) was already absurdly affordable, then Nothing clearly thinks there’s still room to squeeze the price a little lower. Why? Because you don’t win market share by leaving price gaps for someone else to fill. Meet the Nothing Phone (4b), the company’s first-ever (b) series smartphone. If the Phone (4a) was the doorbuster deal, then this one is the “Are you sure that’s the price?” deal.

To be fair, calling it an entry-level phone almost feels rude. The Phone (4b) borrows the Glyph Bar from the Phone (4a) and the sleek unibody design from the Phone (4a) Pro, resulting in a handset that looks anything but budget.

But let’s be honest, to go cheap, something has gotta give, and in this case, Nothing stepped down from the premium sensors on the 4a series to an 8 MP ultra-wide camera on the Phone (4b). Still, it’s kind of like the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro had a child. It still screams Nothing from across the room, and yes, it still has those gloriously unnecessary LED notifications that somehow became one of the brand’s defining features.

Under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, paired with a 6.77-inch 120 Hz Super AMOLED display, a 50 MP main camera with OIS, the aforementioned 8 MP ultrawide, and Nothing’s TrueLens Engine 4 with Ultra XDR imaging. It even records 4K video at 30 fps and supports dual video capture, letting you film with the front and rear cameras at the same time. Gaming gets a boost, too, thanks to a vapor chamber cooling system and support for up to 90 FPS in selected titles.

Battery life might be the biggest surprise. The Phone (4b) packs the largest battery ever fitted to a Nothing smartphone at 6,000 mAh. But there’s a catch here: that’s only for the Indian market model. The Global/European version of the Phone (4b) actually ships with a 5,200 mAh battery—though both variants support 33 W fast charging. On the software front, it ships with Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16, complete with Essential AI tools, ChatGPT integration, Google Gemini, Circle to Search, and three years of Android updates alongside six years of security patches.

The Nothing Phone (4b) comes in Black, White, and Blue, starting at £299/€329 for the 8 GB + 128 GB model. If the Phone (4a) felt like a bargain, the Phone (4b) is Nothing doubling down on the idea that a smartphone doesn’t have to cost flagship money to feel special. Come to think of it, that’s pretty much how Xiaomi started, too. If history is any indication, Nothing may be onto something.
