Nubia Air Pro Smartphone
Nubia is giving thin phones another shot with the Air Pro, pairing a 5.99 mm body with a Dimensity 7100 chip, a 108 MP camera, a 144 Hz AMOLED display, and a surprisingly capable 5,000 mAh battery.

When Nubia joined the thin Olympics with the Air, it took cautious steps. It went the mid-range route—unlike Honor, which packed its “Air,” the Magic8 Pro Air, with flagship everything. Interestingly, the company decided to have a second go at the Air with a Pro model.

The Nubia Air Pro was first shown at MWC Shanghai 2026 last month before quietly appearing on Nubia’s global website. For now, it appears that this model is available only outside China. It is an interesting reversal because Nubia usually launches its phones in China first before offering an international version. The same goes for the brand’s Neo 5 GT Special Edition, which also appears to be a global-only model for now.

Anyhoo, Nubia’s second attempt at a slim phone is not the thinnest. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge remains the thinnest smartphone in the world. The Air Pro is just a tad thicker—by 0.09 mm—while weighing the same 172 g.

But it is a true upper mid-range device, powered by MediaTek’s upper mid-range Dimensity 7100 chip, built on TSMC’s 6 nm process. It features an octa-core processor with clock speeds of up to 2.4 GHz. The chip also allows the phone to use faster memory: up to 20 GB (8 GB + 12 GB Dynamic RAM) of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage, however, remains UFS 2.2, with a choice of 256 GB or 512 GB.

The phone also touts better imaging, thanks to the 108 MP AI camera as part of the device’s NEO VISION AI photography system. Over at the front, on the 144 Hz 6.77-inch AMOLED display, there’s a 32 MP high-resolution selfie camera. The display offers 4,500 nits peak brightness, 1.07 billion colors, 3,840 Hz PWM dimming, and, thanks to the ultra-slim bezel design, a 95.4% screen-to-body ratio.

Interestingly, Nubia has included a one-tap Sports Mode, as well as real-time fitness stats. Not only that, it is inviting you back to the pre-smartwatch, pre-fitness-band days with a dedicated phone armband, letting you strap the phone to your arm while you work out.

The phone features a beautiful high-strength metal mid-frame paired with high-hardened glass. It is also IP68, IP69, and IP69K rated. This means it is sealed against dust ingress and can survive much more than just the occasional drizzle.

Despite its thinness, it packs a 5,000 mAh (typical) flagship-grade silicon-carbon battery with support for 45 W fast charging, Bypass Charging, and 10 W reverse wired charging.

Rounding out the feature list is a bunch of AI features, including an exclusive AI pet, AI agents, an AI photo editor, and an AI text assistant.

For now, it appears that the Nubia Air Pro has launched in Germany through Nubia’s Amazon store for €489.61.

Oh, you may also want to know that it is rated “D” for drop resistance and “B” for repairability in Europe.
