Roc Nation Sports provided the world with the first look at the cutest collaborative Nike Kyrie sneakers yet, the Nike Kyrie x Spongebob Squarepants Collection. Today, we have the official photos, along with some words, from Nike with regards to the collection. So, yeah, the key characters from the Bikini Bottom are lending their colors to Nike Kyrie as we have read and boy, are they gorgeous.
So gorgeous that if I had the means, I would probably buy them all and I would never wear them, like, ever. I would probably set them in a display case, next to my glorious LEGO 3826 Build-A-Bob. Spongebob Squarepants FTW.
Here are the official words:
“SpongeBob, Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles, Mr. Krabs and Sandy Cheeks all have their own iteration of the shoe built off their unique characteristics. The star of the show, SpongeBob, has a version featuring a porous bright-yellow upper with a brown and red sole symbolic of his everyday outfit. The lovable best friend Patrick Star is known for his cheery pink coloring and green tonal shorts, both of which are represented in his shoe. In Squidward’s, his recognizable seafoam green coloring is prevalent and his typical callous expression can be found inside the heel. Mr. Krabs and Sandy both have low versions of the shoe, incorporating their signature colors and styles.”
Nike Kyrie x Spongebob Squarepants Collection will drop globally on August 10, 2019. Prices are unknown at this point, though. Go on and ogle over the official images, courtesy of Nike.
