No need to envy the Oppo Find N3 if you’re outside of China and select countries where it’s being sold, because there’s the OnePlus Open. Yes, OnePlus Open is OnePlus’s first folding phone, and it’s essentially the twin of the Oppo Find N3, down to the camera system and the placement of the Hasselblad branding. They’re not just identical; they’re practically the same. The only difference is the branding.
It boasts the same 48 MP ultra-sensing wide-angle camera with Stacked Pixel Architecture, eliminating sensor size restrictions and capturing 140% more light information. It also features a 64 MP telephoto camera and a 48 MP ultra-wide camera. There are even two selfie cameras: a 20 MP unit on the main display and a 32 MP camera on the secondary display. Moreover, it offers features like dual-view video and time-lapse, among others.
Under the hood, it’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. Just like the international variant of the Oppo Find N3, it comes in a single configuration – 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage. The spec sheet includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, 5G connectivity, tri-band WiFi (2.4, 5, and 5.8 GHz), Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, positioning (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, QZSS, and A-GPS), IR blaster, a dual nano-SIM slot, USB 3.1 with a Type-C interface, an alert slider, “reality” speakers, Dolby Atmos, and a 4,805 mAh battery that supports 67 W SUPERVOOC fast charging.
We didn’t mention this yesterday, but the Oppo Find N3 also has the Alert Slider. To be honest, it feels like we’re reiterating what was posted yesterday, right down to the color options. Well, almost. The OnePlus Open is available in Emerald and Dusk.
It can be pre-ordered from now until October 26 for $1,699.99 and will be in stores on October 27.
