OWC Envoy Pro EX with USB C SSD

The OWC Envoy Pro EX with USB C SSD you see here may not look like much, but in reality, it is the fastest USB-C SSD ever built. OWC Envoy Pro EX with USB C SSD features NVMe M.2 SSD, speeds up to 980 MB/s in an ultra portable, rugged and decidedly sleek package.

It further boasts Thunderbolt 3 compatibility, quiet fanless operation, bus powered, compatibility with both Mac and PC, direct connection to devices like latest USB-C cameras from Blackmagic Design, and an IP67 rated construction that seals it against dust and keeps water out water for up to 30 minutes in up to one meter (3.3 feet) of water.

OWC Envoy Pro EX with USB C SSD is available in 250 GB, 500 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB capacities, sells for between $129.99 and $429.99. Considering it is designed with creators and professionals in mind, the pricing is actually quite reasonable.

On top of that, you’d be getting a 3-year OWC Limited Warranty. If you prefer to add your own M.2 NVMe drive, you can too. In that case, you can buy the DIY enclosure for $89.

If you are on a budget and do not need USB-C, you may want to check out the OWC Envoy Pro EX with USB 3 SSD which starts at $97.99 for the 250 GB model. However, the USB 3 variant does not appear to bear the IP67 rating. So, you may want to take note.
