Japanese manga/anime Naruto is 20 this year. To be precise, it is the Naruto Anime that is 20 in 2022. German toymaker Playmobil has revealed last month that it is partnering with the anime franchise to offer the first figures from the Naruto: Shippuden series.
Naruto: Shippuden is Playmobil’s first-ever foray into the diverse anime universe. The first collection has 12 Playmobil figures from the Naruto: Shippuden series, including the protagonist Naruto Uzumaki, his arch enemy Sasuke Uchiha, his best friend, the spirited Sakura Haruno, along with Kakashi and gang member Akatsuki.
Details of the Naruto: Shippuden Playmobil Edition is still sketchy at this point. All we know is that it will hit the shelves in January 2023. Plus, more popular characters and other sets from the Naruto: Shippuden series will also be introduced in 2023.
So far, there has not been any update or new images. The image you see is the only one we have access to. Obviously, that’s not the image of the actual figures. It looks like a screengrab of some animation. So, is there going to be a Playmobil version of the anime? Hmmm. Probably not. Likely that was from a promo video. I could be wrong.
