while other luxury car makers, luxury sports car makers in particular, are just jumping into the SUV bandwagon, Porsche is setting sight in the, er, wagon segment with the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Concept. before we move forward, we have to remind ourselves not to get all too gaga over this beautiful beast cos’ it is after all, a concept and a concept is like an unproven fairy tale that may not even come true. now that we got the mindset going, here’s a thing or two about this we-hope-it-will-come-true vehicle: it is powered by a hybrid drivetrain with a 333-horsepower (248 kW), 3.0-liter supercharged V6 unit and a 95-horsepower (70 kW) electric motor with a range of 30 km (18.6 miles), giving it a total of 416 useful ponies (306 kW) that’s capable of sending this beauty from naught to 100 in under six seconds. other features (realistic or not) include an wall outlet-friendly lithium-ion battery pack that charges in just 2.5 hours, a space for four, a new Liquid Metal Blue paint job, bi-colored, dual-spoke wheels, Acid Green brake calipers, milled aluminum battery housing, an electrochromatic glass boot floor that let you have a peek at its lithium-ion battery pack, four-point LED headlamps and tail lights, adaptive carbon rear spoiler for enhanced downforce, a pair of cameras mounted in the side air outlets as side mirrors which are displayed within the cockpit (yup, no physical side mirrors – for that extra sleek look and possibly improved aerodynamics), and a futuristic interior complete with touch displays for instruments and controls. hit the jump for a small gallery or learn more about this awesome concept HERE.
