Proscenic WashVac F20 Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner

Through the years that I have been upkeeping my home through vacuuming and mopping, it never occurs to me that I would ever need to suck up wet messy stuff. I mean, there is always a mop to do the job but if you prefer the sucking route, there’s the wet dry vacuum cleaner. The Proscenic WashVac F20 is one such vacuum cleaner.

Wet and dry vacuums have been around for years but it is only in recent years that we are seeing cordless, stick-style variety, and not to mention, a lot less noisy models. I have used a certain ‘K’ brand and boy, it sure felt like a jet engine was powering it.

As far as the Proscenic WashVac F20 Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner goes, it promised to generate less than 70 dB which is about, well, a regular vacuum cleaner’s noise level. So, it is not any louder.

In addition to offering powerful 15 kPa suction force from its 150W motor to pick up the dry and wet mess, and washing the floor at the same time, the F20 has a self-cleaning function.

It combines electrolyzed water sterilization, self-drying, and self-cleaning to prevent the growth of molds, and germs, therefore curbing the development of odors. It, of course, has a water reservoir. In fact. It has two. There is a one-liter clean water tank and a 0.9L dirty water tank, so you can be sure you are always cleaning with clean water. The F20 feels very much like the Smartmi A1 but in stick, non-robot form.

However, all this comes at a significant weight for a cordless vacuum. The F20 weighs in at a hefty 5 kilograms or about 11 lbs, and I believe that is its dry weight i.e. weight without water. Then again, you will not be picking it up; this little guy is self-propelled and so there’s no need for pushing back and forth, let alone picking it up.

The Proscenic F20 comes outfitted with a 4,000 mAh battery which is good for 45 minutes of operation on a single charge. The battery is removable, allowing two ways to charge it: on the device itself when docked to the included docking station, or on a standalone charger.

It has another interesting design feature and that is the so-called Double Narrow Edge brush head that allows you to get close to the edges and corners of walls and other fixed objects.

Moreover, it has a built-in infrared sensor that “intelligently detects wet spills and dry dirt” and automatically adjusts the suction power and water volume to the optimal level. Finally, there is a super cool LED display screen for settings and at-at-glance information. The settings can be done using a companion app too.
