Nubia’s gaming smartphone brand Redmagic has just unveiled its next-generation gaming smartphone, the Redmagic 9 Pro series in China with the latest processor, gaming engine, a more powerful camera system, and a new design that mainly involves relocating the camera module.

It looks like the new Redmagic 9 Pro series [CH], which includes the 9 Pro and 9 Pro+, has dropped a camera and chosen to go with a dual camera setup comprising a 50 MP Samsung GN5 1/1.57” sensor with OIS and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera.

But whereas the Redmagic 8 Pro series has the camera module in the center, the new 9 Pro series’ camera module is on the right of the phone and in line with the device’s RGB fan which at a glance, you’d think it had a triple camera setup.

The new Redmagic 9 Pro series benefits from, you guessed it, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, along with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 – the fastest memories there are today.

As before, cooling remains vital to the Redmagic device this newest generation offers the latest Redmagic cooling solution, the ICE 13.0 Magic Cool cooling system, featuring a new tiny physical fan with customizable RGB light and no less than 10,182 mm2 of vapor chamber heat dissipation area. All told the new ICE 13.0 is capable of cooling the device by up to 18 degrees Celsius (64 Fahrenheit).

In addition, it also touts the longest gaming smartphone battery life – thanks to the whopping 6,500 mAh dual-cell battery. But here’s the catch. Only the 9 Pro is outfitted with the 6,500 mAh battery and as before, this larger battery only supports 80 W fast charging. The 9 Pro+, on the other hand, has a smaller 5,500 mAh battery but packs a blazing-fast 165 W charging.

The new Redmagic 9 Pro series further features a 120 Hz 6.8-inch true full AMOLED screen which is also home to a 16 MP under-display camera (UDC).
