What you see here is the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 Winter Olympic Edition (officially, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G Olympic Commemorative Edition). Available in 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 Winter Olympic Edition is cosmetically tweaked as a homage to the 2022 Winter Olympics.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 Winter Olympic Edition is presented in the Winter Dream White cover, framed in gold, with the Beijing 2022 branding just below the Samsung logo. The hinge with Samsung’s branding is also finished in gold.
The very eye-pleasing snowy white and gold device is juxtaposed with a secondary display in black finish.
The Winter Olympics spirit is carried into the UI with a custom theme, complete with Winter Olympics-themed wallpaper, icons, and cover screen clock styles.
But really, those are really what the device is all about. This means, expect the same spec sheet details as any regular old Galaxy Z Flip3, including IP8X rating, Snapdragon 888 Mobile Platform, a 6.7-inch AMOLED main display, a 1.9-inch Super AMOLED secondary display, et cetera.
It looks like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 Winter Olympic Edition is a China-only device for now. It will be available in China starting on January 15, 2022, for 7,999 yuan (roughly US$1,255). Samsung China is taking pre-orders for the device as we speak.
