The truth is, I never liked folding phones. I was mildly interested, but the fold lines on the screen are just a major turn-off. Believe me. I was (kind of) keen and kept checking back at the stores to see how the demo units stood up to the abuse by thousands of curious walk-in customers. Sure enough, the lines show, very obviously. Ugh.
But that just me. If you are not irked by the inevitable folding lines, perhaps the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G may interest you. What’s even more interesting is, these new folding phones are surprisingly more affordable than their predecessors.
Who knows? Folding phones may just become mainstream. I mean, how can it not be with more affordable prices, support for S Pen, and with water resistance to boot?
Expect no less than flagship specifications including Snapdragon 888 chips and high refresh rate and high-resolution displays. To cut long story short, we have a couple of specifications infographics on the two devices, courtesy of Samsung, for your consumption.
But before that, you may want to know that both the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G are available to order now, with a starting price of US$999 and US$1,799, respectively.
