Severance-inspired Keyboard by Atomic Keyboard

Any fan of Apple TV Plus’ series Severance here? Well, if you are a fan of this haunting psychological thriller, and for some reason beyond my mortal comprehension want a computer setup like in the TV series, well, we bring good news! Atomic Keyboard has you covered. Well, at least it has you covered on the keyboard part of things. What you see here is a Severance-inspired keyboard, called MDR Dasher.

This retro-futuristic marvel is a modern homage to the Data General Dasher terminal keyboards from the late ‘70s, which starred in the show’s Macrodata Refinement (MDR) department. The MDR Dasher boasts a 73-key, 70% layout—meaning it’s compact yet functional. In a nod to the show’s themes, it intentionally omits the Escape, Control, and Option keys. Praise Kier, indeed.

Housed in a durable aluminum case, the keyboard features custom MDR-style keycaps and a built-in optical trackball module. Connectivity is handled via USB-C, ensuring compatibility with Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.

While the final price is still under wraps, Atomic Keyboard’s website hints at a target price around US$399.  Not cheap at all. Sales will be conducted through a limited-time group buy, so interested parties should sign up for the pre-launch list to stay informed.

Whether you’re an Innie or an Outie, the MDR Dasher Keyboard invites you to enjoy each keystroke equally—no ominous break room required (because you are not granted any!). Go on, continue to slog your life away. Don’t bother with resignation because it will not be approved by you either.
