Smartisan Nut Pro 3 Smartphone

The owner of TikTok, the Vine-like video sharing app that is sweeping the world, ByteDance, has launched its very first smartphone branded under China handset maker Smartisan.

So, yeah, the Smartisan Nut Pro 3 is essentially a TikTok phone of sort, but ByteDance did not choose to call it so.

Anywho, TikTok, known natively as Douyin in China, can be quickly accessed simply by swiping the the lock screen. In addition, we heard that users will be able to apply TikTok effects and filters to videos of any length.

It is no doubt a very niche phone. That said, we wonder how it will do in this cut-throat smartphone market?

Judging from the starting price of 2,899.00 RMB (about US$411), Smartisan Nut Pro 3 is not quite a flagship phone, but what it possessed under the hood says quite differently.

It packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chip, up to 12 GB LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 256 UFS 3.0 storage.

The quad-camera is set on a rectangular bump set to the left of the device, a design choice that is fairly unique.

The front gets a 20 MP selfie-camera in a notch on its 6.39-inch AMOLED FHD+ (2,340 x 1,080 pixels, 403ppi) display.

Battery comes in at 4,000 mAh that has support for 18W Quick Charge 4+ and Power Delivery 3.0.

Smartisan managed to packed it all in into a profile that is just 7.8 mm thin which something we don’t see often these days.

ByteDance’s Smartisan Nut Pro 3 Smartphone is currently selling in China with a starting price of 2,899 yuan.
