Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman proves that Walkman isn’t dead

well, what do you know? it looks like Sony Ericsson’s Walkman phone is pretty much alive, and not only it is alive but now it has Android to boot. recently announced the Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman Phone, sporting a 3-inch HVGA TFT touchscreen and features a customizable user interface for one-touch access to user’s favorite applications. as it is a Walkman phone, expects music-centric functions such as quick access to playlists and of course, the built-in Walkman music player. on the imaging department, it has a single 3.2-megapixels camera that supports geo-tagging, direction submission to a live blog and video recording.

powered by Android 2.1 (aka Eclair), the Sony Ericsson W8 features 3G (obvious)/WiFI connectivity, and comes package with MH 410 stereo headset, along with MS450 stereo portable speakers. the latter is certainly a nice addition to entice buyer. it is available now via authorized dealers and is available in three colors: Azure, Orange or Red.
