SPUD Potato Vodka
so you think have an acquired taste for vodka and might have even thought you have taste it all? well, you can't really make that claim unless you have take a sip of the SPUD Potato Vodka. we know. it sounds weird to be calling a drink 'potato' twice (btw, 'spud' a slang for potato), let alone actually an adult beverage crafted out from real potatoes.

so you think have an acquired taste for vodka and might have even thought you have taste it all? well, you can’t really make that claim unless you have take a sip of the SPUD Potato Vodka. we know. it sounds weird to be calling a drink ‘potato’ twice (btw, ‘spud’ a slang for potato), let alone actually an adult beverage crafted out from real potatoes. but that’s what make this drink so attractive. a refreshing change, you might say, from the myriad of offerings out in the bars and liquor stores. btw, when we said “refreshing” we don’t mean literally cos’ one too many vodka certainly will be anything but refreshing. anyway, the SPUD Vodka is “100% all-natural, gluten-free potato vodka distilled five times” resulting in “a clean, smooth taste with a soft note of vanilla and hint of velvety creaminess.” just this simple description is enough to give our curiosity a jolt (read: we need it) and that’s not to mention the various awards it has garnered since. so it must be something that our tongues would love to be the judge.

available in four flavors: the original, red hot chili pepper (absolutely no relation the alternative rock band), ginger lemongrass, and heirloom tomato, the SPUD Potato Vodka is now officially available in North America after its successful regional launch last year. price is roughly about $34 a pop, depending on retailers.
