The brand of the sauce that I have come to know as the must-have when consuming spaghetti, Tabasco, has came up with what the company claimed as its hottest sauce yet. Called Tabasco Scorpion Sauce (not exactly an appetizing name, really), this new limited available source is said to be 20 times hotter than the company’s Original Red Sauce. Wow. 20 times, eh? The tolerance to spiciness rest on each individual, but as some hot sauce fanatics will tell you, Tabasco Original Red Sauce is mild by any standard – unless you down the entire bottle.
Anyways, 20 times hotter does indeed pique our interest, but I wonder what’s the scale of hotness? I guess you will never know until you give a go, but for now, you can only imagine what the blend of scorpion peppers, guava, pineapple, and original Tabasco, has to offer. If you prefer to take the words of the company’s, then “a tangy sauce with untamed heat and a touch of Caribbean sweetness” is what you can expect from this new hot sauce. Now, I am even more intrigued!
The sauce debuted last week as an limited edition condiment joining the current line up of Green Jalapeño Sauce, Chipotle Pepper Sauce, Buffalo-Style Sauce, Habanero Pepper Sauce, Garlic Pepper Sauce, Sweet & Spicy Sauce and Sriracha Sauce, but unfortunately, it was sold as quickly as it was introduced. Well, not all hopes are lost cos’ the Louisiana-based, family-owned and operated a century-and-a-half old hot sauce company is in the process of creating the second batch for sale online on Tabasco country store.
If you want to bag some, be sure to check in on Monday July 31, 2017, noon, Central Standard Time. Don’t say we did not give you head up and also, be sure act on quick because we have a feeling that it is going to fly off the virtual shelves as quick as the first batch.
