Here’s An Awesome Mobility Solution For Mountainous Region In Colombia

In mountainous regions like the Colombia’s Andes Region, folks still uses mule to haul goods not because they choose to, but because the treacherous terrains dictate that only animals are up to the task. While it seems like it will remain so for years to come, Italy-based Colombian designer Edgar Sarmiento (AKA Eddie Mauro, the same person who designed autonomous bus Olli) dream up a modern day mule, a mechanical transport which he calls Arriero Rural Transportation Solution, as an alternative to mules and horses. We Bet You Didn’t Expect Lexus To Designed A Spacecraft But It Did

Honda may have jet aircrafts now, but competing automaker Lexus just up the ante by dishing out a spacecraft. Ok, we exaggerated. It is not quite a real spacecraft per se, but a fictional one that will appear in Luc Besson upcoming sci-fi blockbuster Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. In fact, this spacecraft has a couple of fleeting moments in the teaser trailer released earlier in November. At 0:39 mark, a pair of the Lexus-branded spacecraft can be seen in the background and at 1:17 mark, one of the pursuit craft can be seen zipping through the space. What If USPS Has Hummer Or Tesla As Part Of Their Delivery Fleet?

You know how mail trucks in Stateside looks like, but have ever imagine if those 200,000 plus vehicles were something else other than the slow, aerodynamic-defying boxy vehicles? Can you imagine say, for example, a Hummer or maybe even a Nikola One Semi or a Tesla Model X was used as a USPS delivery vehicle? Well, I guess you don’t need so much as to imagine at all cos’ a South West London-based financial institution has already did in a recent blog post. Mercedes-Benz Brings Posh To Pickup Trucks With Concept X-Class

In this cut throat automotive world, automakers gotta do what they have do to survive. Even luxury segment is not spared. I mean, surely they can’t depend on the sales of handful of sports coupe to keep their shareholders happy. It is all about growth and growth means reaching into every nook and cranny of the market. Mercedes-Benz already did, having dabble in both private and commercial vehicles, but there’s still something missing from the luxury automaker’s portfolio: a pickup truck. Well, that’s until today when the Stuttgart-based luxury automobile maker unveiled a new pickup truck bearing the three-pointed star, called Mercedes-Benz Concept X-Class. Mercedes-Benz’s Future Delivery Vans Will Have Drones To Aid In Deliveries

Before robots come knocking on your door to deliver your parcel, we would probably see drones doing the job. However, unlike Amazon’s bold ambition, Mercedes-Benz joins force with Matternet to explore the concept of combining both traditional man-to-door delivery using a van with drones. Of course, the van here we are talking about isn’t your run-of-the-mill van without front doors. It is the Mercedes-Benz Vision Van Concept, a purpose built delivery van that’s part of a high-tech delivery system going all the way back to the warehouse. If Lamborghini With Tank Tracks Is Real, It Would Be A Super Snowmobile

If there’s one thing petrolheads hate, it would be snow. Powdered covered roads are no good for cars and obviously, not safe for some serious tire burning. But what if your favorite ride, such as a Lamborghini Huracán, has tracked like snowmobiles? Well, then that, my friend, means whatever season comes, you can always hit the road, any road. So, snow? What snow? As you can see, this Lamborghini Huracán Snowmobile Concept by Estonia-based designer Rain Prisk don’t give a damn to snow. Hell, we’d say it would even take on beaten trails and undulating terrains normally reserved for off-roaders anytime – thanks to its four tank-like tracks. Here’s Another Squarish Audi Truck Concept From Artem And Vladimir

A couple of days ago we saw a radical self-driving electric truck concept by designers Artem Smirnov and Vladimir Panchenko and we did mention then that there will be a part 2. Well, here it is. Not sure why there are two designs, but hey, who’s complaining? Anyways, the second concept is supposed to be an “Electric autonomous ‘show’ truck, which we interpret as a truck that won’t be plying cities but more for motor show and such. Unlike part 1, part 2 is more on the curvy side, though it still defies aerodynamic principles. Then again, it is a “show truck” isn’t it? Concept Self-driving Electric Truck Looks Awesome, But Not Aerodynamic

When we first lay eyes on the Self-driving Electric Truck Concept for Audi designed by Artem Smirnov and Vladimir Panchenko, we are were captivated. The entire aesthetic is, how do you say, futuristic? But unfortunately, as much as we love its sporty design, we know it is not going to happen. First, it defies basic aerodynamic principles, especially for semi that goes the distance and second, there’s no way low-profile tires are going to make it trucks, much less a sportier-than-automobile design with such a beautifully low ride height. Though, a part of me love to embrace Artem and Vladimir’s design. I really do. Then again, what do I know, right? SnoPed Is A Super Cool Snowmobile That Looks Totally Like Rey’s Speeder

What happen when you cross a motorcycle with a snowmobile? I know. You’re probably thinking of a motocross-style snow bike like the Yamaha HL500 snow bike. Your are right if the vehicle in question is designed and built by mechanics or engineers, but leave it to multi-disciplinary designer Joey Ruiter, the result would be SnoPed, a moped-cross-snowmobile. Aesthetically, the machine is pretty radical. It defies snowmobile design convention of low center of gravity and low stance (presumably for stability and maneuverability’s sake). Bold Hypersonic Concept Jets Will Fly From London To New York In 30 Mins

Technology has advanced leaps and bounds, but one thing mankind hasn’t progress quite as much is air travel’s speeds. The fact remains that, unless teleportation becomes a reality, air travel will remain the preferred and fastest mode of transport between cities and countries which still takes hours on ends. But could aircraft be made to go any faster? Well, as far as speed is concerned, companies like Spike Aerospace and Aerion Supersonic are working to trim the time required to fly from New York to London and vice versa to half. However, Charles Bombardier has bolder and more ambitious ideas. His non-profit technology group, Imaginactive has proposed jets that could make the same trip in just 30 minutes, or circle the globe in an hour.
